WC/WCX Committee

One member of the Committee will serve as Chair.

It is suggested that the Chair be the member of the Committee with the most WC/WCX experience.

Copy of the WC/WCX rules and regulations

AKC Field Trial Rules for Retrievers

AKC list of judges approved for field trials and hunt tests

Skills Required:

Good organizational skills

Ability to work with people

Working knowledge of the GRCA WC/WCX Program

Responsibilities:

Distribute WC/WCX packets to clubs asking to hold tests. Check rules to be sure Club is qualified to hold tests

Maintain contact with test secretary through the test and final report.

Receive results from event secretary and forward on to WC/WCX Recorder for preparation of certificates

See that reports are received in a timely manner.

Procedural Guidelines:

The Committee members will be responsible for making sure they have an adequate supply of WC/WCX packets and congratulatory cards on hand. Each Committee Member will send out applications to those clubs requesting to hold a WC/WCX test. Once the application is received, the Committee Member will check to be sure the club is eligible to hold a GRCA WC/WCX test, that the judges have met the proper requirements and that the birds specified in the application are acceptable as per the rules. The Committee Member will then send a WC/WCX packet approving the test to the Test Secretary and will maintain contact throughout the test and following with this person. The Committee Member will receive the report and the results from the event secretary and, after processing, will send them on to the WC/WCX Recorder for preparation of certificates. The Committee Member will also be responsible for answering questions when necessary and making sure all paperwork is turned in on time. Should there be clubs who submit paperwork late, the Committee Member is responsible for fining said club. Each Committee Member will report directly to the WC/WCX Chairman. The WC/WCX Chairman will report to the GRCA Board Liaison who will report directly to the GRCA Board.
