Dear Members of the GRCA and GRCA Board:
The 2012 GRCA Nominating Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank the members who submitted their names and resumes for consideration for nomination to the GRCA Board of Directors – each of these individuals had outstanding qualifications. If future nominating committees have such choices, the GRCA has a bright future indeed! We hope those not selected will contribute to the success of the GRCA by volunteering in other capacities in the coming year. Additionally, the Committee further hopes that the members not chosen for 2012 will consider submitting their resumes in future years. RUNNING BY PETITION
For members wishing to run for a GRCA Board position by petition, the deadline is June 10, 2012. The Bylaws state the following:
Article VI, Section 2
B. ADDITIONAL NOMINATIONS: Additional nominations of eligible members may be made by written petition addressed to the Secretary and received at his/her regular address no later than 90 days prior to the date of the Annual Meeting. The petition must be signed by 25 members and accompanied by the written acceptance and a resume of experience from each such additional nominee signifying his willingness to be a candidate. No person shall be a candidate for more than one position, and the additional nominations which are provided for herein may be made only from among those members who have not accepted a nomination of the Nominating Committee. Nominations cannot be made at the Annual Meeting or in any manner other than as provided herein.
C. If no valid additional nominations are received by the Secretary, the Board of Directors shall direct the Secretary to cast a ballot for the slate of nominees presented by the Nominating Committee, and further, the balloting procedures provided for in Article Vl, Sections 3 & 4, shall not be required for elections and the Nominating Committee’s slate shall be declared elected at the time of the Annual Meeting.

DEADLINE FOR RUNNING BY PETITION IS 90 DAYS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE ANNUAL MEETING. THE ANNUAL MEETING WILL BE SEPTEMBER 7, 2012, THEREFORE, THE DEADLINE FOR PETITIONS IS JUNE 10, 2012.
