Historical record of the Working Certificate
First WC's: The 1950 Yearbook shows three "one-star champions" :
One * was given to champions that had placed at a sanctioned field trial,
considered the equivalent of a WC at that time. Copies of a Working
Certificate were included in the Yearbook for people to take to a sanctioned
trial and have the judges sign upon earning the * No record was kept of WCs earned by non-champions prior to establishment of the formal WC program in 1964.
