                Purpose: to encourage all GRCA members competing with one dog in both field and conformation events and to recognize their achievements in both areas. Awarded to the GRCA member accumulating the highest points in AKC licensed or member breed shows and AKC licensed field trials during the calendar year, according to the established point schedule.

Donor:  The GRCA Board of Directors – 2000

Eligibility requirements for the Bill Lester Memorial Trophy:

1. Winning five points from the conformation table below, points having been attained under at least two different judges;

2. Receiving a placement or Judges Award of Merit at a licensed field trial in any stake;

3. If, and only if, in any given year, no dog has qualified for the trophy by receiving a placement or JAM in a field trial, those dogs which have attained a Master Hunter title shall be eligible. Field trial placement will always take precedence;

4. A dog which has met these basic requirements becomes eligible in the year it completes them, and is eligible each following year in which it acquires points in either conformation or field. The trophy shall be awarded to the dog which accumulates the most points according to the point schedule below; however, in the event that more than one dog is eligible, preference shall be given to the dog attaining points in both areas of competition during the applicable calendar year;

5. All general eligibility requirements pertaining to GRCA trophies shall apply;

6. Points shall not be carried over year to year;

7. The owner shall be responsible for reporting eligibility in writing to the GRCA trophy curator no later than April 30 of the year following completion of the requirements, to be eligible for the trophy;
